<p>Please encourage your students to sign up and attend the <b><i><font
color="#3333ff">U.S.
Steel Information Session</font></i></b> and take the <b><i><font
color="#3333ff">Programmer
Aptitude Test </font></i></b>(flow charts and diagramming) --
interviews
will follow if they pass the test.

<p>Students will need to sign up in the <b><font color="#3333ff">WCBA
Advisement
Office</font></b> on the <b><font color="#3333ff">4th floor</font></b>
in <b><font color="#3333ff">Williamson Hall </font></b>by <b><font
color="#000099">12:00
NOON</font></b> on <b><font color="#000099">Wednesday, April 13, 2005</font></b>.
(PLEASE NOTE: If we do NOT get at least 8 students to sign up and
attend, U. S, Steel will not come to the YSU campus.)

<p><b><font face="Forte"><font color="#3333ff"><font size="+1"><u>Please
share the following information with your students</u>:</font></font></font></b>
</p>
<p><b>U.S. STEEL</b> is currently looking for students to fill
internship/co-op
positions in Programming, PC technical support, Plant Process Control
Systems
and various non-programming departments.
</p>
<p>Each year, <b>U.S. STEEL</b> welcomes over 100 new interns/co-ops
from
more than 40 colleges and universities. Students may stay in the <b>U.S.
STEEL PROGRAM</b> up to two years while providing a valuable resource to<b>
U.S. STEEL</b>. In return, students receive priceless job experience,
competitive pay and college credit. After graduating from school,
many students receive job offers to become full-time <b>U.S STEEL</b>
employees.
</p>
<p><b><font face="Forte"><font color="#ff0000"><font size="+2">To
qualify
for this opportunity, students must:</font></font></font></b>
<br>
• Be pursuing a bachelors degree or higher or be
attending a 2-year institution with a letter of acceptance into a
4-year
program
<br>
• Have completed at least 3 semesters before entering
the Program
<br>
• Have at least one full year remaining before graduation
<br>
• Be willing to work one of the following schedules:
<br>
<b><font color="#3333ff">-
PART-TIME: </font></b>16 hrs/wk for the spring AND fall semester + 40
hrs/wk
for the summer
<br>
<b><font color="#3333ff">
- FULL-TIME: </font></b>40 hrs/wk for the spring OR fall semester
+ 40 hrs/wk for the summer
<br>
• Be legally authorized to be employed in the United
States of America
<br>
• Pass a computer programmer aptitude test

<p>Recruiters from <b>U.S. STEEL</b> will be on the YSU campus for an
Information
Session and to administer the Programmer Aptitude Test and do
interviews
with those who pass the Test:

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (interviews after, if they pass)</font></b>

Students will need to come to the WCBA Advisement Office on the 4th
floor in Williamson Hall by <b><i><font color="#3333ff">12:00 NOON on
Wednesday,
April 13, 2005</font></i></b>.

need to:</font></font></font></b>

- Sign up on our Registration List
<br>
- Complete a U.S. Steel Application form (gray sheet)
<br>
- Complete a U.S. Steel Information Sheet (white sheet)
<br>
- Pick up a copy of the Aptitude Sample Questions

<p>Students should be prepared to submit info for your employment
history,
education, skills and contact info for two references. (Sorry . . . we
cannot email these forms.)
