            Through the Improving Teacher Quality Program of the Ohio
Board of Regents, a partnership between Ohio State, Olentangy Local
Schools, and Columbus Public Schools is offering Modeling Workshops for
the 4th consecutive summer.  One workshop will be in physics/physical
science and the other will be in chemistry.



            Participants receive

                        6 graduate credits from Ohio State

                        Free lunch each workshop day

                        Curricular materials consistent with the
Modeling approach

                        Several hundred dollars of classroom materials



            Additionally, we have funds available this year to provide
housing to some participants from outside the central Ohio area.



            The workshops, led by local expert teachers in this
methodology, run from June 12-29 and are held at Olentangy High School.
