 Hello, everyone!  Below is an announcement especially for middle school
teachers that I am hoping you would be able to pass along to your various
networks.  All of the information is below and more is located at the link
near the bottom of the announcement.  This program is sponsored by the
Education and Public Outreach programs of various heliophysics-related NASA
satellite missions.  Teachers do not need to be located in the Chicago area,
though local Chicago teachers are certainly welcome.

Heliophysics Educator Ambassador Program

The Adler Planetarium in Chicago, IL invites middle school educators to
apply for a professional development workshop and training program focusing
on in-depth learning experiences in Earth, Space, and Physical Science
topics.  An initial 5-day intensive workshop will be followed by school year
implementation of classroom activities and participant-led training
workshops for other teachers.   The goal of this program is for participants
to gain a better understanding of the science content areas and develop the
capacity to train other teachers on NASA heliophysics science and
educational resources.  NASA satellite mission collaborators for the HEA
Program include AIM, Cluster, IBEX, RHESSI, THEMIS, TIMED, MMS, and Voyager.
 Lodging support for out-of-town participants and stipends for all
participants are available.

Workshop Dates: Tuesday, July 6 - Saturday, July 10
Location: The Adler Planetarium, Chicago, IL
Who is eligible: Teachers of grades 6-8
