[YAPA] First YAPA meeting for 2011-2012

Hello YAPA fans, Hope all of you are off to a rousing start for the new school year.   The first YAPA meeting will be Monday September 19th, YSU, Ward Beecher room 2026, 7 PM.  At the meeting, we will discuss the calendar for the rest of the year.  Looking for volunteers to host meetings in February and April. Jodi and I attended a presentation by the ourtreach coordinator for the American Acoustical Society.   She has put together kits containing 10 tuning forks, images of the ear hairs, damaged ear hairs, etc.  which she is willing to send to those who attend a workshop and request the equipment.   There are only 150 kits for the entire country... Thought we'd share some of the workshop at this first meeting, have those interested request the kits and then share other parts of the workshop at future YAPA meetings.  If they run out, the rep believes she will be able to put together more kits.  If interested, be sure to attend the meeting on the 19th. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Roy
