Loretta and everyone,
I now buy Kobalt tools (a Snap-on product, still made in USA - I think). They are great tools. Sears is not going to change, so I vote with my money. Also, I have not bought a Craftsman power tool for decades. Bosch saws and Makita drills - purchases based strictly on quality. They last a long time.
It is in my self interest to buy these products, because in the long run they are cheaper!
Tony B.

Hey Roy!
Almost time for a break!
I was wondering if you could help me out by forwarding a link to the YAPA people for a petition I've started.
I have gotten really upset as more and more American companies have outsourced their products
and the one that really was the last straw was the latest move by Sears with their Craftsman tools! I read an article (which I've attached) that just seemed the final straw.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/09/business/popular-wrench-fights-a-chinese-rival.html?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20121109
I've always thought of Sears as the epitome of American companies and Craftsman as the epitome of american tools! But more and more they are labelled Made in China!
So I started a petition to Sears head honchos protesting this. I'd really appreciate it if you could pass it along!
Thanks so much!
