[Ysu-academic-senate] Message from Chet Cooper, Senate Chair

Dear Colleagues,

I am sure that by now you have heard that YSU's Board of Trustees has offered the position of YSU's presidency to Dr. Randy Dunn, current president of Murray State University. Personally, I am extremely pleased with this decision. During his interviews, both on and off campus, Dr. Dunn exhibited those qualities that YSU needs as it goes forward in facing significant academic and economic challenges. Although it remains to be seen how successful Dr. Dunn will be as YSU's 8th president, I am confident that he will very supportive of the academic enterprise and the continued success of our students, staff, and faculty.

Also, I wish to thank all of you for becoming involved in this process by attending the open forum sessions and letting your collective voices be heard. I am positive you had a marked influence on this decision to offer the presidency to Dr. Dunn.
