Become an advocate for mental health.

Every thirteen minutes, someone in the United States dies from suicide (American Foundation on Suicide Prevention). You can help - learn the signs and become an advocate for mental health.

Join Student Government Association, Chi Sigma Iota, and partners on Friday, March 25th for a day of education and advocacy at the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training professional development experience. The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.

This professional development opportunity meets the goals of building awareness and educating students, faculty, and staff on present mental health concerns and the importance of talking about mental health and suicide at Youngstown State University. Suicide Prevention Researchers Drs. Paul and Darcy Granelllo, Ph.D., LPCC-S will present as our Keynote Speakers for the event. Certificates of completion will be given to participants.

Lunch will graciously be provided by the Office of the President.
