Remember your voting Dos and Don'ts
Do
· FOLLOW ALL VOTING INSTRUCTIONS carefully and ASK FOR HELP from
election officials if you need it
· DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR VOTES before you leave the booth
· ASK FOR A NEW BALLOT if you make a mistake
Don't
· LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO VOTE
· BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR A PROVISIONAL BALLOT if you are told that
you cannot vote at your proper polling place
· BE AFRAID TO FIND A VOTING RIGHTS VOLUNTEER at your polling
place if you feel your right to vote is being threatened

Punch Card Voting is Easy as 1-2-3!
For your vote to count, you must fill out your ballot correctly. Here
are 3 easy steps you can take to ensure that your vote will count on
November 2nd:
1. Line it UP
· Insert your punch card properly into the marking unit
2. Punch it OUT
· Punch only one hole for each office or issue
· Punch all the way through the card
3. Check it OVER
· After you remove the card from the marking unit, but before you
leave the voting booth, check your ballot, front and back
· Check to see that all paper is punched out from the holes you
marked (remove hanging chads)
· Check that you punched the hole for the correct candidate or issue
· Check that you voted only once for each office or issue
· Do not write in a candidate's name after you've already punched
their hole
Did you make a mistake? Don't worry! You can request a new ballot.
* Tell the election official and ask for a new punch card
* With a fresh card, follow steps 1,2, and 3
IF YOU NEED HELP OF ANY KIND, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK YOUR ELECTION
OFFICIAL OR SEEK OUT A CLEARLY-IDENTIFIED VOTING RIGHTS VOLUNTEER

OHIO VOTER'S BILL OF RIGHTS
1. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on
Election Day. If you are in line at your correct polling place by 7:30
p.m., you must be allowed to vote.
2. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE upon signing your name in the poll
book without being forced to present any form of ID.
3. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE BY PROVISIONAL BALLOT. If you are
an eligible registered voter, but are not allowed to vote, you may sign
a statement that allows you to receive and cast a provisional ballot.
4. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE in the precinct in which you live on
the day of the election, even if you recently moved within the county or
moved to a different county.
5. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE ANOTHER BALLOT from election
officials if you make a mistake and "spoil" your ballot. You may
request up to 3 ballots to correct errors.
6. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REQUEST SPECIAL ASSISTANCE in the voting
booth if you cannot read or write, if English is not your first
language, or if you are blind or otherwise disabled. You may ask
election officials for written or verbal instructions at any time.
7. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE WITHOUT BEING INTIMIDATED by any
person.
8. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE without anyone attempting to
influence, hinder, or delay your vote outside of the polling place.
9. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE DURING WORK HOURS. Your employer
cannot fire you for taking a reasonable amount of time to vote. Your
employer may not intimidate, influence, or prevent you from voting for
or against any person or issue.
10. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE, even if you are unable to enter the
voting facility due to a disability. The polling place shall provide you
with assistance at your vehicle or outside the facility.
11. If you are in jail, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE by absentee
ballot, unless you are in jail on a felony conviction. If you are a
convicted felon who has been released from prison, you have the right to
vote after re-registering upon your release from prison.
These rights are guaranteed to all eligible registered voters. If you
feel that your right to vote has been violated, contact a Voter
Protection volunteer at your polling place.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE A COPY OF THE OHIO BILL OF RIGHTS INTO THE
VOTING BOOTH WITH YOU.
