I am proud to advise you that the Greater Akron Chamber announced on June 13, 2011 that Cryshanna Jackson, PhD, Political Science Faculty Member, Youngstown State University has been selected as recipient of the 2011 30 for the Future Award. 
    Akron, Ohio - Thirty Greater Akron Region young professionals have been named the recipients of the fifth annual "30 for the Future"  award.  Part of the Greater Akron chambers' strategy to attract and retain talent in the region, the "30 for the Future" award honors young professionals (ages 25 -39) whose stellar contributions impact their industries and the Greater Akron Region. 
     the award recipients will be recognized at a dinner celebration and ceremony in The University of Akron Student Union Ballroom on Monday, September 12, 2011, starting at 5:30 p.m. in addition, recipients will be profiled in a special print and electronic publication distributed to Greater Akron Chamber members and other tri---county area business leaders.
   Independent committees selected the recipients based on the finalists' Leadership Documents, which showcased professional and community accomplishments team building, leadership, and creativity in overcoming obstacles.  Recipients were nominated by members of the Greater Akron Chamber and regional profit and non-profit organizations, including many of the region's young professional organizations.
     The September 12th gala celebration is open to the public.  Individuals tickets are $50 for Chamber members and $60 for non-members.
