The Architecture of Archaeology and the Archaeology of Architecture
Rome, Italy, September 15 -17, 2005

The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for a dialogue 
on architecture and archaeology, and the numerous ways in which the 
two fields intersect. Of interest are archaeological sites with 
significant architectural artifacts, as well as, the collaborative 
work between architects, archaeologists, urbanists, historians, and 
museologists in the preservation, restoration, and reconstruction of 
these sites.

The conference takes place in Rome, Italy from September 15 to 
September 17, 2005 at the British School at Rome and the Facolta Di 
Architettura, "Valle Giulia," Universita Degli Studi Di Roma, "La 
Sapienza."

This conference is held in concert with the Third International 
Workshop/Seminar "Premio Piranesi" for Villa Adriana, Tivoli and Rome.
