Social Justice and Human Rights Study Tour of Israel and Palestine
Seminar date: April 1, 2006

Please join us during the Spring Break of 2006, for a study-tour of Social
Justice and Human Rights issues in Israel and in the Palestinian Authority.
The tour is scheduled for 8 days, 7 nights. The price of the study-tour
includes all the activities on the ground, lodging, three meals a day and
all entry fees.

Our counterparts in Israel and in the Palestinian Authority are leading
social justice and human rights organizations. Topics for exploration will
be: peace and reconciliation, national rights, poverty incidence areas,
environmental issues, housing (construction and demolitions), child
development, civil rights, the Justice system, education and basic
infrastructure conditions. We will visit with the NGOs and each will explain
to us the social and economic conditions of their constituents. The NGOs
will also take us to meet and examine their various projects. On each side
of the border, the NGOs will take us to see case studies, field projects
they are working on, as well as conduct for us other cultural and touring
activities. We will meet with NGO leaders, grass roots activists, government
officials, academics, artists and leaders of dissident movements. In
addition we will visit religious, archeological and cultural sites of
interest in the territories of Israel and the PA.

The total cost of the study-tour is U$S 1,918.00. If you wish to initiate
your own group, we might be able to obtain a significant tour-leader
discount. Please share this study-tour program with your colleagues and
students.
