[URBANTH-L]Accomodation in Chicago & Atlanta

Dear all,

I'm a Ph.D. student in American Cultural Studies at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany working on a dissertation on medial representations of gentrification processes in several U.S. cities. This September, I’ll be on a research trip in the U.S. to visit libraries and archives in New York City, Chicago, and Atlanta. 
While New York does not pose much of a problem, both Chicago and Atlanta have turned out to be quite problematic in terms of finding affordable accommodation for 9 nights each. 
I’d greatly appreciate any help and advice the urban studies community might be able to give me on possibilities to stay in both Chicago and Atlanta during September.
