[URBANTH-L]JOB: UCSD Urban Studies, Asst Professor of Ethnic Studies

The Ethnic Studies Department and the Urban Studies & Planning Program
at UCSD invite applications for a joint post; we seek a specialist in
African American Studies from any discipline for appointment to a tenure
track position as Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies. Research
expertise on urban politics is desirable, but not essential. 

Applicants in any social science or humanities discipline are encouraged
to apply. Applicants must provide evidence of an original and generative
research agenda, commitment to teaching, and ability to work in
interdisciplinary urban studies and ethnic studies contexts. PhD
preferred, but ABDs will be considered provided that the candidate can
show substantial progress toward completion of the dissertation.

Salary based on published UC pay scales.
