*Senior Collaborative Coordinator of Youth Organizing, New York City*

The Annenberg Institute for School Reform (AISR) is looking for a highly 
experienced and effective organizer and manager to lead our youth 
organizing work in New York City, and to oversee the work of Urban Youth 
Collaborative (UYC). The Urban Youth Collaborative is a citywide 
youth-led coalition focused on building a strong youth voice to ensure 
that New York City high schools prepare students for college, for jobs 
that pay a living wage, and to work for justice. The position is based 
at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform (AISR) in New York City.

*Responsibilities:*

The Senior Collaborative Coordinator will provide leadership, research, 
and communications support to the Urban Youth Collaborative's campaigns 
for high school reform in New York City; direct AISR's annual Youth 
Organizing Institute for UYC high school-age youth leaders; assist in 
fundraising for the UYC and Youth Organizing Institute; and participate 
in events and forums nationally that raise the profile of the UYC and 
youth organizing for school reform.

*Qualifications: *

· Five years direct organizing experience, with two years of work with 
youth in diverse urban communities (candidates who do not have 
experience in community organizing will not be considered);

· Experience in supervising staff, preferably as a senior staff person 
in a non-profit organization;

· Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;

· Experience in research, media outreach, and web-based communications; and

· Strong writing, administrative, and computer skills.
