The Department of Anthropology at Colby College invites applications
for a one-year visiting Faculty Fellow, beginning September 1, 2010.
Ph.D. (preferred) or ABD. Teaching experience is necessary. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach introduction to
sociocultural anthropology, an area course (to complement existing
offerings), and two other courses (in conjunction with departmental
needs and the candidate's areas of interest; topics in gender,
medical, and/or environmental anthropology are encouraged).

Program at Colby College invite applications for a joint one-year
visiting Faculty Fellow position, beginning September 1, 2010. Ph.D.
(preferred) or ABD. Teaching experience is necessary. The successful
candidate will be expected to teach introduction to sociocultural
anthropology, and three additional courses, at least two of which
should explore topics in the African Diaspora. Preference will be
given to specialists in the Caribbean or other African Diaspora
communities in North or South America (e.g., including Canada) but
outside the United States. Applicants should send a cover letter,
curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching skills, and names of three
references to African American Studies/Anthropology Search Committee,
