[YSU-Academic-Senate] Important Senate Update: 12/30/25

Good afternoon everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on senate activity since the end of the fall semester.  As it stands, we had only one item that needed addressed by the senate in January.  The item was a report from the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee which outlined proposed course changes.  Dr Chet Cooper, in his last official act as Senate Chair, has approved the report on behalf of the senate to be recommended for further approval.  I have attached this report for everyone's reference.  Since there was no further business for the senate to address in January, Dr Martha Pallante the incoming Senate Chair has moved to postpone the scheduled Academic Senate Meeting for 1/7/26.  As a result, there will NOT be a senate meeting on 1/7/26.  The next scheduled senate meeting will take place as planned on 2/4/26 in Debartolo Hall Rm 132 at 4 pm.  If anyone has any items that you wish the senate to address at the February meeting, please send them along to the senate secretary (Edmund Ickert, ecickert at ysu.edu).
