Youngstown State University's Departments of History and Anthropology will
be offering two courses - a History course and and Archeology course - in
Israel during August of 2010. Students registered for the course will have
the opportunity to travel throughout Israel including visiting Jerusalem,
Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Akko, and other major Israeli cities.

They will also visit the desert where they will see the mountain fortress
Masada, swim in the Dead Sea and ride camels. Students will also spend two
weeks on an archaeological dig learning about the site and archaeological
techniques. The trip has been subsidized for YSU students by generous
support from the community. Airfare, accommodation, travel and most meals
will be $2800. This price does not, however, include fall semester tuition
for the two courses. If you are interested in signing up for the class, the
deadline is April 1 to send in your $1000 deposit. For more information,
please contact Dr. Sinnreich (hjsinnreich at ysu.edu) or Dr. O'Mansky
(omansky at gmail.com or meomansky at ysu.edu).
