[Ysu-academic-senate] Senate Agenda for April 3, 2019

Dear Senators and Colleagues,

The agenda for the upcoming Senate meeting at 4:00 PM on April 3rd is attached.  Please carefully review the items noted in the agenda as well as the numerous attachments supporting the various discussion items.

A couple of items to highlight:


  *   Senate elections for the next academic year are upon us.  More information shall be presented at the meeting.


  *   Gen-Ed Revisioning is likely to have important information to share.


  *   The Programs and Curriculum committees have reports and have announced deadlines for submission of materials for consideration this academic year.


  *   A draft proposal entitled “Technology Adoption to Augment Student Success” shall be presented.  Given that this topic elicited significant conversation at the last Senate meeting, I would strongly encourage all Senators to read the draft proposal and the supporting documentation prior to this month’s gathering.



Finally, please note that everyone is encouraged to attend the Social Gathering at the Inner Circle immediately following the Senate meeting.  This event is sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs in conjunction with the Senate.  ALL ARE WELCOME – not just Senators!!!  Light food items will be provided, but adult beverages are not included.
