08-36 Assistant Professor in the Ancient World
     School: Department of History
     Description: 
          Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected 
in its diversity and student success. The Department of History, West 
Chester University, invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant 
Professor in the Ancient World with the ability to teach World History 
survey courses, as well as other areas of expertise, such as Medieval, 
at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load is 4 courses 
per semester.
     Applicants must demonstrate successful college teaching experience 
and provide evidence of scholarly promise. Ability to supervise 
history/social studies student teachers is preferred (but not 
required). Earned Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
 Finalists must successfully complete the interview process and 
teaching demonstration. Developing and sustaining a diverse faculty and 
staff advances WCUs educational mission and strategic Plan for
