To celebrate Black History Month, local retired Black Educators will be 
honored at the annual “Salute to Black Educators Luncheon”.   Those 
being honored for their outstanding service to the Youngstown and 
Warren area schools are: 

Laverne Brown, Cliff Johnson, Mary Moody, Hattie Rhodes
Alice Washington, P. Mae White

This luncheon will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00am 
and it will be held at the McGuffey Center located at 1649 Jacobs Road 
in Youngstown, Ohio.  The event is sponsored by Youngstown Area 
Alliance of Black School Educators and the Associated Neighborhood 
Centers.
