The Marion G. Resch Center for Student Progress Orientation and First-Year
Student Services is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Peer
Mentor for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Peer Mentor (PM) serves a
critical role in providing first-year students with quality, personalized
service. PMs work with all aspects of First-Year and Transfer Student
Orientation Programming and First-Year Student Services assisting in
creating a positive educational experience for new students and helping
students with their transition to college. A PM serves as a role model, a
resource, and a crucial link between students and the University. 

Applicant Requirements: 
2.5 cumulative GPA
12 semester hours completed
Full-time student during regular academic year 
Availability to participate in all orientation and training activities as
well as weekly staff meetings
