`Connected Space'

Saturday and Sunday 14th--15th May 2005, McDonald Institute, Cambridge UK.

Connected Space brings together related but often disengaged disciplines. 
Scholars and practitioners in Geography, Anthropology, Fashion, 
Architecture, Sociology, Art, and Archaeology will address the problem of 
space in seven sessions over two days. Notes on the conference theme, a 
poster, and a programme including paper titles can be downloaded at

Speakers include: Matthew Barac, Emma Beadsmoore, Victor Buchli, Peter
Carl, Duncan Garrow, Jay Gort, Vedia Izzet, Mark Knight, Raymond Lucas,
Pete Manfield, Trevor Marchand, Linda McDowell, Lesley McFadyen, Tim
O'Riley, Paula Orrell, PocketVisions, Debby Ray, Jane Rendell, Chris
Scarre, Debra Benita Shaw, Elizabeth Shove, Carolyn Steel, and Ann Varley.
Other participants include Graeme Barker, Marcial Echenique, Caroline
Humphrey, and Sir Colin Renfrew.
