Travel, tourism and migration
Université Paris-Dauphine and Université Paris 13, France
Deadline: January 31, 2006

Travel and tourism form manifold international migratory fluxes -
from forced migration and exile to the golden 'migration' of tourists
who then become residents. This conference will focus on the
connections between travel, tourism and migration, and contribute to
a better understanding of how the ever-growing mobility of our
societies transforms our lifestyles and relations with others. It
will consider past and present British migratory patterns to France
or other European countries, and be open to comparisons between these
and other international patterns, like those of other European
peoples, or of Australians and North Americans.

The conference will take place on June 2-3, 2006, at the Université
Paris-Dauphine and Université Paris 13, France.
