[URBANTH-L]SUNTA elections

The Society for Urban, National, Transnational/Global Anthropology (SUNTA) is seeking nominees for the following offices:
 
Treasurer -- The treasurer serves a 2-year term and is responsible for the finances of the Society and serves as the fiscal agent SUNTA. (A by-laws revision on the ballot this year will expand the term to 3 years). The Treasurer shall be responsible for the administration of the finances of the Society subject to budgetary and other regulations approved by the Board of Directors, and the Treasurer shall be e Society's fiscal agent in dealing with other persons and organizations. 
Secretary -- The secretary serves a 2-year term and is responsible for submitting short columns to Anthropolology News Section News 10 times per year.  The secretary is also in charge of taking minutes for the annual board and business meetings.
 
Councilor -- Councilors for SUNTA serve in various capacities, as members of standing and ad hoc committees as needed.  The term is 3 years.  
 
Student Councilor -- The student councilor represents interests and voice of students in SUNTA and serves in a similar capacity to the above description.  Partial funding is provided to attend the annual meeting.  The term is 2 years.
