[URBANTH-L] FUNDING: PHD Funding for Urban Studies at Darmstadtg Univ of Technology

The Graduate School of Urban Studies (URBAN-Grad) at Darmstadt University of
Technology (Germany, near Frankfurt) offers 10 fully-funded PhD-scholarships
on "International and Comparative Urban Research". The successful applicants
should have a master or diploma degree in social sciences, economics, or
humanities, science, applied sciences, architecture or urban planning.

The PhD-projects should focus on the following topics:

Theories and methods of comparative urban research,
The intrinsic logic of cities,
Urban environments and sustainability, and/or
Local knowledge and urban planning

The Graduate School of Urban Studies is part of the Darmstadt research unit
"Urban Research", aiming at investigating the intrinsic logic of cities and
focusing on comparative research designs (for detailed information visit:
www.raumsoziologie.de). Dissertations can be in English or German; working
language will be German.
