PANEL: COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVES ON THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS


I am interested in organizing a panel on the global economic crisis for the 2009 AAAs in Philadelphia (Dec 2-6). My own work, based in the US, concerns competing cultural narratives of the crisis, particularly with regard to blame, accountability, and government intervention. I'd like to connect with ethnographers studying the crisis in other regions and from other angles.
