“Important Announcement:  Deadline Change for the Margaret Mead Award”

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) presents annually in  
conjunction with the American Anthropological Association, the  
prestigious Margaret Mead Award.  The Award honors the memory of the  
most prominent anthropologist of her day.  The Award seeks to  
recognize a young scholar for a particular achievement, such as a book.

The deadline for the receipt of nominations has been moved back to  
March 15 (from June 1).  This deadline is effective immediately.   
Nominations for the 2009 Competition should plan to conform to this  
deadline.  Please bring this information to your membership.

clicking on “Awards;” this will lead you to the “Margaret Mead
