[YSU-Academic-Senate] Update on Senate Meeting 9/3/25

Good morning everyone,

The Academic Senate concluded its first meeting of the year yesterday.  Attached, you will find the minutes for the meeting, along with, the presentation provided by Provost Pintar.   Additionally, a recording of the meeting can be found using the following link:

A couple of important reminders:
The senate is taking nominations for the Chair position effective on January 1, 2026.  The winner of the election becomes Chair and the runner-up is designated as Vice Chair.  Nominations will be accepted for the Chair position until 9/12/25 at 5pm.  Please send any nominations to: ecickert at ysu.edu (Edmund Ickert)

Currently nominated individuals include:
Dr Mike Costarell
Dr Chet Cooper
Dr Martha Pallante

The senate is seeking interested individuals to fill some vacanies on the Charter and Bylaws and Election and Balloting Committtees.  If your interested, send your interest to ecickert at ysu.edu (Edmund Ickert). Deadline is 9/12/25 at 5pm.

Lastly, if you are WCBA senator and wish to serve on the vacancy on the executive committee, send your interest to: ecickert at ysu.edu (Edmund Ickert).  If there are more than 1 senator interested, an election will be held. Deadline is 9/12/25 at 5pm.
