[Ysu-academic-senate] Addition to Senate Agenda

Dear Senators and Executive Committee Members,

Provost Abraham requested a few minutes to address the Senate tomorrow regarding proposed changes to the University’s Conflict of Interest policy.  A “redline” version of the proposed changes is attached to this email.  Please review this document prior to tomorrow’s meeting.  I apologize for this last minute addition to the agenda, but this policy shall be considered at next month’s meeting of the Board of Trustees.  Provost Abraham is abiding by the principles of shared governance by bringing this matter before the representatives of one of the constituencies that could be affected by any changes to this policy and seeking their input.

Another item: be sure to review the agenda/documents previously provided for tomorrow’s meeting and come prepared to engage in relevant conversations.

Finally, immediately following the Senate meeting, we shall “adjourn” to the Inner Circle on Lincoln Avenue for refreshments, some light foods, and enlightened conversation.  While the food items provided are sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the purchase of drinks rests with the individual or their best friend.
