U.S. Steel is Looking for Interns in ALL Majors!

Please encourage your students to sign up and attend the U.S. Steel 
Information Session and take the Programmer Aptitude Test (flow charts 
and diagramming) -- interviews will follow if they pass the test.

Students will need to sign up in the WCBA Advisement Office on the 4th 
floor in Williamson Hall by 12:00 NOON on Wednesday, April 13, 2005.  
(PLEASE NOTE:  If we do NOT get at least 8 students to sign up and 
attend, U. S, Steel will not come to the YSU campus.)

Please share the following information with your students:

U.S. STEEL is currently looking for students to fill internship/co-op 
positions in Programming, PC technical support, Plant Process Control 
Systems and various non-programming departments.

Each year, U.S. STEEL welcomes over 100 new interns/co-ops from more 
than 40 colleges and universities. Students may stay in the U.S. STEEL 
PROGRAM up to two years while providing a valuable resource to U.S. 
STEEL.  In return, students receive priceless job experience, 
competitive pay and college credit.  After graduating from school, many 
students receive job offers to become full-time U.S STEEL employees.

To qualify for this opportunity, students must:
    . Be pursuing a bachelors degree or higher or be attending a 2-year 
institution with a letter of acceptance into a 4-year program
    . Have completed at least 3 semesters before entering the Program
    . Have at least one full year remaining before graduation
    . Be willing to work one of the following schedules:
        -  PART-TIME: 16 hrs/wk for the spring AND fall semester + 40 
hrs/wk for the summer
        -  FULL-TIME: 40 hrs/wk for the spring OR fall semester + 40 
hrs/wk for the summer
    . Be legally authorized to be employed in the United States of America
    . Pass a computer programmer aptitude test

Recruiters from U.S. STEEL will be on the YSU campus for an Information 
Session and to administer the Programmer Aptitude Test and do interviews 
with those who pass the Test:

      DATE:  Friday, April 15, 2005
      TIME:   9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (interviews after, if they pass)
      LOCATION:  Williamson Hall, 5th Floor - Cafaro Suite

DEADLINE:
Students will need to come to the WCBA Advisement Office on the 4th 
floor in Williamson Hall by 12:00 NOON on Wednesday, April 13, 2005.

They will need to:
  -  Sign up on our Registration List
  -  Complete a U.S. Steel Application form (gray sheet)
  -  Complete a U.S. Steel Information Sheet (white sheet)
  -  Pick up a copy of the Aptitude Sample Questions

Students should be prepared to submit info for your employment history, 
education, skills and contact info for two references. (Sorry . . . we 
cannot email these forms.)

PLEASE NOTE:   If we DO NOT get at least 8 students to sign up for the 
test, U.S. STEEL will NOT come to the YSU campus.
