Global Radicalism, Beyond Left & Right?
Jan. 25-28, 2007, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI

Deadline: September 20, 2006

Among the least studied but most fascinating of fields is radicalism. The
aims of this conference are to explore the multiple forms of contemporary
and historical radicalism in a transnational context.

We welcome submissions from all relevant disciplinary or interdisciplinary
approaches. Papers and panel-topics will be wide-ranging, and may include
pacifism, violence and terrorism, religious radicalism, anarchism,
environmentalist and ecological radicalism, technology and anti-technology,
protest art, sexual radicalism, indigenous radicalism, anti-imperialism,
"third way" political movements, corporations and radicalism, militias,
right-wing movements, and anti-radicalism.
Conference to be held Jan. 25-28, 2007, Michigan State University, East
Lansing, MI.
