CHINA SEARCH - JOB ADVERTISEMENT
The University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the anthropology of China. This position is one of several anticipated as part of a multi-departmental interdisciplinary initiative in the field of Chinese/East Asian Studies.
All topical specializations will be considered; ethnographic research that considers China in both a regional and global context is strongly encouraged. Ph.D., demonstrated excellence in research, and experience in teaching are mandatory. Candidates must be able to teach undergraduate courses in social and cultural anthropology at all levels and courses in their own areas of specialization. Successful candidates will also be prepared to participate in interdisciplinary research centers and graduate programs.
