[YSU-Academic-Senate] Academic Senate Meeting - 11/5/25 Results

The Academic Senate recently had a meeting on 11/5/25. Attached, you will find the minutes for the meeting, along with, documents shared during the senate meeting.   Additionally, a recording of the meeting can be found using the following link:

>From this website, you'll be able to access the senate information in the future.  For current senators, the meeting recording, minutes, agenda, and presentation are all uploaded to the Senate TEAMS folder.

A couple of important reminders:

The AI Committee is going to be sending out an AI survey to faculty later this week. Faculty are encouraged to participate in the AI usage survey.

The following motion was passed by the senate:
“All Senate Appointed Committee shall meet prior to the December 2025 meeting to confirm membership and any vacancies, confirm a chair, and complete the Committee Information sheet available at the Senate web site.  Hearing nothing, the Governance will assume the responsibility of repopulating the committee as per our charge, and the Executive Committee will complete the Committee Information Form”.
All committees should ensure that they are populated, complete their updated worksheet, and meet at least once this semester.  Please work with the Governance Committee to help ensure that your committee is populated.

It's swipe out hunger week!  A "Dessert with the Deans" event is planned to take place in Williamson Hall this Friday from 4-6pm.  Tickets are available for basket raffles.If you wish to donate, please see the attached document for QR code.  Here is the code:

Lastly, if you have any comments or feedback on the presented syllabi template (attached to this email), please send them to Dr Hillary Fuhrman.  The template will be finalized prior to the beginning of December.  Please get your comments and feedback in ASAP.
